MEMPHIS, TN (December 2016) The 271,000 square-foot future IKEA Memphis store, including approximately 800 parking spaces, is built on 35 acres in the Wolfchase Corridor along the southwestern side of Interstate-40 near the Germantown Parkway exit. The store will be the first IKEA in Tennessee and include Tennessee's largest rooftop solar array, consistent with the solar presence at 90% of our US locations. Read more...

In addition to the more than 500 jobs created from construction, approximately 225 co-workers will have joined the IKEA Memphis family when the new store opens.

IKEA has contracted with Marcobay Construction, Inc. to build the project, and store plans reflect the same unique architectural design for which IKEA stores are known worldwide. In addition, IKEA will evaluate potential on-site power generation to complement its current U.S. goal of a renewable energy presence at nearly 90% of its U.S. locations.

COLUMBUS, OH (Summer 2017) The 354,000-square-foot future IKEA Columbus and its 1,200 parking spaces is being built on 33 acres at the northeastern corner of Interstate-71 and Gemini Place in the Polaris Centers of Commerce development, approximately 15 miles north of downtown Columbus.
